Que Sera, Sera
By :Doris Day
[Written by Jay Livingston and Ray Evans]
When I was just a little girl
I asked my mother
What will I be
Will I be pretty
Will I be rich
Here's what she said to me
Que sera, sera
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours to see
Que sera, sera
What will be, will be
When I grew up and fell in love
I asked my sweetheart
What lies ahead
Will we have rainbows
Day after day
Here's what my sweetheart said
Que sera, sera
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours to see
Que sera, sera
What will be, will be
Now I have Children of my own
They ask their mother
What will I be
Will I be handsome
Will I be rich
I tell them tenderly
Que sera, sera
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours to see
Que sera, sera
What will be, will be
Que Sera, Sera
This song was written for
Alfred Hitchcock's 1956 re-make
Of his 1934 film "The Man Who Knew Too Much"
Starring Doris Day & Jimmy Stewart

Portraite of Life - The Fisherman II
|
|
One more set of fisherman which I capture while I on holiday....
What catched my eyes about this guy, he has this aura of a man model, the way he carried himself...very confident.

The fisherman
By : Barbara Anna Marjonovic
I wait in anticipation
For the morning tide to come.
The gulls crying,
and the waves splashing,
Remind me that it was time to
pull in the nets.
Another day of fishing it is,
Another day of hoping more fish would be caught,
This is my livelihood,
A fisherman's wage I have,
and I wait for my next catch,
To feed my family.
It is this life I have,
Living it day to day,
Not knowing if I will bring in,
a fair catch to warrant a good pay.
I would not choose any other life,
For I love the sea and I love the waves,
A fisherman am I,
Nothing more and nothing less.

As time flies.....Happy Birthday 2 Meeeeeee
|
|
Happy Birthday
Nanoseconds rolled to seconds
Seconds ticked to minutes
Minutes to hours
Hours, days, months, years.
Oh! how time flies...
Today, you are a year older
Though wiser.
And, like ageing wine, getting better.
Unwrap my token gift of prayers
Let the colorful ribbons and balloons fly
Your happiness and joy
To the limit of sky
To keep floating as time goes by
In the best of health.
May the many years to come
In the long life you will live
Be sweeter than the cake
You offered for us to celebrate
Happy birthday
To blooming flower in season today.

Grandparents Day Poems
A grandmother has a special talent-
She always knows just what to do
To make her grandchildren happy
And to show she loves them, too.
At the family get-togethers,
She's the first person to look for-
She can entertain small children for hours,
And they always keep asking for more.
You can tell when a grandmother's teasing
By the twinkle that shines in her eyes-
She's an expert at settling problems,
For she's loving, patient and wise.
Her grandchildren always admire her,
Even when they are grown-
They always feel proud and happy
To claim Grandmother as their own!

Potrait of Life - fisherman part 1
|
|
I never planned to be there actually, after too tired from my flight the nite before (the flight was delay about 1hrs)...
While everybody at home still in bed...I nagged my hubby to take me to this place again after 2 years never be there..no change still the same old place but the road are much better now....
The beach still beautiful as before, as I watched the fisherman drove neared to the beach, I just snapped and snapped never stop.....
As for this month...my theme will be potrait of life....it will be consist of every aspect of people lifes as I capture them in my camera...hope U all enjoy watching it.....

The fisherman
by Rosemarie E. Bishop
I saw an old fisherman out in a boat,
rocking alone on the rippling waters.
"Are you fishing for sport?" I called out to him,
trying to be friendly,
but he only waved.
Thinking that maybe he couldn't hear me to well,
I called out again in a louder voice.
"Are you fishing for food?" I asked him this time,
hoping I'd get a response.
Once again, he simply waved,
as his boat drifted a little more.
As he drew nearer, his face became clearer,
and soon I knew who he was.
"Are you fishing for me?" I asked Him this time,
knowing the answer before He replied.
The fisherman smiled as he held out his hand
and said to me, "Come aboard, Child."

MOTHERHOOD
The bravest battle that ever was fought!
Shall I tell you where and when?
On the maps of the world you will find it not;
'Twas fought by the mothers of men.
Nay not with the cannon of battle-shot,
With a sword or noble pen;
Nay, not with eloquent words or thought
From mouth of wonderful men!
But deep in a walled-up woman's heart --
Of a woman that would not yield,
But bravely, silently bore her part --
Lo, there is the battlefield!
No marshalling troops, no bivouac song,
No banner to gleam and wave;
But oh! those battles, they last so long --
From babyhood to the grave.
Yet, faithful still as a bridge of stars,
She fights in her walled-up town --
Fights on and on in her endless wars,
Then silent, unseen, goes down.
Oh, ye with banners and battle-shot,
And soldiers to shout and paise!
I tell you the kingliest victories fought
Were fought in those silent ways.
O spotless woman in a world of shame,
With splendid and silent scorn,
Go back to God as white as you came --
The Kingliest warrior born!
-- Joaquin Miller (1839-1913)
